The earthquake has sent alarm among the residents who have vacated their homes and offices. No significant casualty or damage has been reported, but local authorities are on high alert. The district collectors have asked people to be cautious and to not enter unsafe structures.

Tremors were felt in the nearby districts of Maharashtra, including Nagpur, Gadchiroli, and Chandrapur. Chandrapur Collector Vinay Gowda asked the residents not to panic and to shift to open areas if aftershocks occur.
