UPSC coach Avadh Ojha, who is known as “Ojha Sir” among his students, has formally joined politics by joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in a ceremony held in New Delhi. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia welcomed Ojha into the party.

Hailing from Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh, Ojha has been a force to reckon with in UPSC coaching circles with words of his deliverance-of-wisdom speaking for itself as he spreads the canvas of history, present affairs, and geopolitics in teaching. Speaking about his political debut, Ojha expressed gratitude to AAP leadership, underlining his desire to contribute to the development of the education infrastructure in India.

According to the District Attorney’s office in Queens, New York, Aliya deliberately set fire to a two-story garage in November, trapping both victims inside. The incident reportedly followed an altercation during which Aliya shouted, “You’re all going to die today.”

The 26-year-old officer was travelling in a police jeep when the vehicle overturned after the driver lost control at high speed. Despite being rushed to a private hospital, Bardhan succumbed to his injuries. The airbags in the jeep reportedly failed to deploy, exacerbating the impact of the crash.

An FIR has been registered against the driver for rash and negligent driving, while the death of the officer has caused widespread mourning in the police fraternity.
