1. Sophie Turner Says Being a Single Mother is a ‘Struggle’ after Joe Jonas Divorce
But Speaks Highly of Him Sophie Turner, who portrayed the role of Sansa Stark on the hit “Game of Thrones” series, has spoken of the difficulty that comes with single motherhood even after her very public separation from musician boyfriend Joe Jonas. The wife of singer Jonas was married to him for four years before he filed for divorce in September 2023, stating that they had irreconcilable differences between them.
Actress Turner, featuring in the recent interview talking about her latest show, Joan, in which she portrays the real-life character Joan Hannington, expressed that the challenge of becoming a mother after the separation is the problem. Reminiscing her own past, she stated, “It’s such a struggle being a single mother.” Turner revealed that motherhood also challenged her to pour deeper feelings into the character of Hannington, who is just like her and fights for her child tooth and nail. She also expressed the societal pressures that mothers have to face, saying: ‘There’s so much shame that comes with motherhood. You go to work, you’re shamed. If you don’t go to work, you’re shamed'”.

In the wake of several rumors surfacing on social media claiming popular YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, alias Flying Beast, had separated from his wife Ritu Rathee, an old video has surfaced in which he is talking about the challenges a couple has during marriage time when a lady is pregnant. The video features Gaurav talking about how husbands get neglected during pregnancy where all the wife does is cater to the needs of the baby. “When you have a baby as a couple, the husband feels neglected for 2-3 months,” said Gaurav adding that extra-marital affairs often occur during this period.
The video had surfaced quite a few years ago, after the birth of one of the daughters of the couple. Though the couple has maintained that it is their personal matter, social media is still speculating.
3. Kangana Ranaut Agrees to Cuts in Her Film Emergency Amid Controversy
The much-awaited film by Kangana Ranaut, with the story revolving around the life of Indira Gandhi during India’s Emergency period between 1975 and 1977, faced several hurdles. Kangana recently agreed to make cuts in the film as directed by the CBFC.
The counsel for the CBFC told the Bombay High Court Monday that Kangana, who is both actor and co-producer in the film, had accepted revisions proposed by the board’s reviewing committee. The film had also hogged a controversy over its depiction of the Sikh community with certain groups demanding a ban on it. The next court hearing is slated for Thursday as the situation is still in the process of unfolding.
4. Karnataka Man Kills Wife After She Refuses to Sleep with Him
A man in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi district has been arrested for allegedly murder his wife, Nagamma, who refused to sleep with him. A heated argument at their home in Batgera village between Shekappa and his wife, followed by the killing, is said to be the horrific incident.
The argument between them was quite frequent and the family members were often required to intervene in the dispute. The argument takes a turning point on the Sunday that kills Nagamma. Later, Shekappa surrenders before the police, confessing to the murder.
5. Bihar Flood Situation Worsens, IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert
Bihar flood situation has deteriorated into a catastrophe. The rising water levels of major rivers are affecting over 16 lakh people in the state, and this situation is not easing out much. Heavy rain for the last few days has caused the Kosi and Bagmati rivers to overflow, breaching embankments and leaving large parts of the state, particularly the Darbhanga and Sitamarhi districts, under water.
The Indian Meteorological Department issued an alert of heavy rain. Authorities are fighting the disaster day and night. Villages along the Kosi River in Darbhanga were among the worst affected, with the seepage of waters into the embankments have worsened the situation. Rescue and relief operations are still going on, but the situation is tragic.
