India’s GDP Hits Seven-Quarter Low of 5.4% in Q2
India’s economy is slowing down, with the growth in its economy recording only 5.4% during the second quarter of FY25. This growth declined mainly due to weaknesses in mining, manufacturing, and utilities sectors.

Still, experts are cautiously optimistic in hopes that increased government capital expenditure and improved rural consumption will come in the last half of the fiscal year.
The Reserve Bank of India is sticking to its growth estimate of 7.4% for the last two quarters but experts say downside risks persist, especially considering global economic uncertainties and geopolitical factors.

Neeraj Pandey’s latest film Sikandar Ka Muqaddam with Avinash Tiwary and Tamannaah Bhatia has been talked about on the strength of its impressive opening and performances but the director loses steam around the mid-point and isn’t really able to retain the tightness that seems to characterise his strongest films.
Despite its flaws, this film marks a return for the director to form. As always, he is really good at weaving suspenseful storylines. Fans of all his previous hits, such as Baby and Special 26, must find Sikandar Ka Muqaddar a suitable watch.
