1- Mamta Kulkarni’s Remarkable Transformation: From Bollywood to Spiritual Leader
Former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni, once famous for her brash on-screen life during the 90s, has now turned to spiritualism and is playing the position of Maha Mandaleshwar of the Kinnar Akhada at Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj.
Taking the sanyas diksha (initiation of monkhood) at the hallowed Sangam—the meeting of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the legendary Saraswati rivers—Mamta underwent customary rituals under Acharya Maha Mandaleshwar Laxmi Narayan Tripathi. A part of this transformation involved cutting off her roots from the world, and in this process, she performed rituals such as the Pind Daan, marking her renunciation of worldly attachments.
Taking the name Shri Yamai Mamata Nand Giri, she thanked her spiritual transformation, saying her path started in 2000 under Swami Chaitanya Gagangiri. The actress, who was earlier embroiled in legal issues, such as a ₹2,000 crore drug case, was cleared of all charges by the Bombay High Court in 2024 because of insufficient evidence.

Produced by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the film tells India’s first ever airstrike on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase in the 1965 Indo-Pak war.
In spite of the competition, Sky Force has been Akshay Kumar’s strongest opening in recent times since Sooryavanshi (2021).
3- CBSE Board Exams 2025: Students Told to Adhere to Exam Ethics
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked schools to make students aware of examination ethics as they prepare for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations starting February 15, 2025.
In a letter to school principals, CBSE laid emphasis on the need for fair examination conduct and issued strict instructions on prohibited items like electronic devices. Any misconduct could lead to cancellation of the exams for the current and next year.
More than 44 lakh students will sit for the board exams for 204 subjects, one of the largest exams in India.

Yugo Sako’s timeless anime version of Ramayana, produced by Koichi Sasaki and Ram Mohan, is now released in Indian cinemas in 4K definition, giving ardent fans the ultimate experience of watching the timeless epic.
The movie brings back the age-old story of Lord Rama’s banishment, Sita’s kidnapping, and the war against Ravana, drawing people in with its superior quality animation and new voice dubs. 5- US Supreme Court sanctions extradition of 26/11 accused Tahawwur Rana
In a significant breakthrough, the US Supreme Court has paved the way for the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, a Pakistani-Canadian entrepreneur who is wanted in relation to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Rana is accused of providing logistical assistance to the Lashkar-e-Taiba handlers who carried out the attacks that killed 166 people in 2008.

10- Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s Unbeaten Run Continues in SA20 League
The Sunrisers Eastern Cape recorded their fourth successive win, moving to second in the SA20 League following an emphatic victory over Joburg Super Kings.
Despite a solid start by Joburg, Sunrisers’ bowling attack, led by Marco Jansen, restricted them to a modest total. Key contributions with the bat from Aiden Markram and Tristan Stubbs ensured a comfortable 14-run victory for the team.
