May 2025 Visa Bulletin Spells Trouble for Indian H-1B, Green Card Seekers

Rana’s Lawyer’s Last-Gasp Plea to Rubio Fails to Halt Extradition

Murshidabad Reels as 110 Held in Waqf Act Protest Violence
West Bengal’s Murshidabad district seethed Saturday after police arrested more than 110 individuals associated with violent protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act, which led to arson, stone-pelting, and road blockades in Malda, South 24 Parganas, and Hooghly. 70 were arrested in Suti and 41 in Samserganj in Murshidabad alone, with raids still being carried out, PTI added.

“Patrolling’s tight in Suti and Samserganj—no regrouping allowed,” said a police officer, appealing for peace and cautioning against rumour-mongering on social media.
