  1. Delhi Assembly Election 2025: A High-Stakes Battle Unfolds

The political atmosphere of Delhi is electric as the city prepares for a high-stakes Assembly election in 2025. Voting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, across 13,766 polling stations in all 70 constituencies. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is targeting a historic third consecutive term in the Delhi elections, hoping for its governance record and welfare schemes to help its cause. Bharatiya Janata Party is determined to return to power after a 25-year gap in the capital. The Congress, which has been ruling Delhi for 15 years under Sheila Dikshit, is now trying to regain its lost glory after failing to win a single seat in the last two elections. The campaign trail has been marked by intense exchanges between the AAP and BJP, with both parties leaving no stone unturned to woo voters.

The Election Commission has put in place more than 30,000 police personnel and 220 paramilitary companies to ensure smooth voting. Special measures, including drone surveillance and a Queue Management System (QMS) app, have been introduced to assist voters, especially senior citizens and persons with disabilities. The results will be announced on February 8, determining the fate of 699 candidates in the fray.

  1. JEE Main 2025 Answer Key Released: Candidates Can Now Estimate Scores

The provisional answer key of the NTA for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 is out on 4 February 2025. Those who attempted the exam on dates between January 22-30 can get their answer on the official site at jeemain.nta.nic.in so that they get to check responses and estimate marks obtained.

Provisional answer key to be challenged until 6 February at Rs 200 per question, and after scrutiny of objections the final answer key along with result will be issued. JEE Main had received lakhs of students to contest for engineering colleges in the whole of India.

Marvel Studios has dismissed rumors that artificial intelligence (AI) was used to create the new poster for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The poster, released alongside the film’s teaser, sparked debates on social media due to its unique design. While some fans praised the visuals, others pointed out inconsistencies, leading to speculation about AI involvement.

A Marvel spokesperson clarified that the poster was actually created using a traditional method, and not AI. This is a controversy similar to one seen in the debate over The Brutalist film, where rumors of AI-enhanced dialogue were also dispelled. 

  1. ITC Hotels to be Delisted from Sensex and BSE Indices

As the stock fails to breach the lower circuit by the cut-off date on February 4, the scrip, which was listed on January 29 as a demerged entity of ITC Ltd, will be deleted from the Sensex and other BSE indices, effective February 5, 2025. The scrip was added temporarily for portfolio rebalancing by passive funds.

The exclusion is expected to trigger passive selling worth over Rs 400 crore, with additional selling pressure anticipated when the stock is removed from the NSE Nifty 50. On Tuesday, ITC Hotels shares closed 4.16% lower at Rs 164.65.

The restructuring plan proposes that creditors vote to implement the scheme and get recovery as soon as April 2025 or wait till 2030 if the scheme gets rejected. The proposal includes the start of DEX operations along with the release of recovery tokens.

If approved, the platform will resume trading operations, with initial payouts distributed within 10 business days. However, if the plan fails, the process will move toward liquidation, potentially resulting in lower compensation for creditors.
