  1. Akhil Akkineni Engaged to Artist Zainab Ravdjee

The Akkineni family announced a happy news with Akhil Akkineni getting engaged to artist Zainab Ravdjee. Akhil’s father, Nagarjuna, made the statement for the family as they shared the excitement. The couple plans to get married next year, but the exact dates are yet to be decided.

Ola Electric unveiled two new commercial electric scooters- the Gig and Gig Plus, priced at a remarkably attractive price of ₹40,000. Designed for long life and cost-effectiveness, the scooters carry removable batteries and have very respectable ranges.

The entry-level Gig has a 1.5kWh battery, which has a range of 112km. The Gig Plus comes with two 1.5kWh batteries, achieving a range of 157km. In addition, the Gig Plus has a faster 1.5kW motor that can reach a top speed of 45kmph. Both models promise significantly lower running costs compared to ICE scooters, with up to 93.4% savings.

Reservations for the scooters can be made online for ₹499, with deliveries slated to begin in April 2025.

The cricket world paid heartfelt tributes to Phillip Hughes on the 10th anniversary of his untimely death. Hughes, a promising Australian cricketer, passed away at 25 after being struck on the neck by a bouncer during a domestic match in Sydney.

Former teammates David Warner and Darren Lehmann have described the potential and character of Hughes, who according to Lehmann, “could have played 120 Tests, no question.”
