CEO Of Bombay Shaving Company Warns On Ultra-Processed Food Trend
According to Bombay Shaving Company’s CEO, Shantanu Deshpande, the increasingly in-vogue ultra-processed food being delivered through services like Swiggy, Zomato, and Zepto needs serious attention. In an all-too-familiar post on LinkedIn, Deshpande has raised concerns regarding how such quick-delivery meals contain aged vegetables, frozen purees, and all such stuff.
The CEO observed that this tendency of “10-minute meals” can, in the long run, culminate into health crises which are similar to the crises seen in the US and China but with the absence of economic resources to fight against this. He was quite sarcastic regarding the addiciveness of junk food priced at ₹49 pizzas and ₹20 energy drinks; he called for innovation in food delivery in the pursuit of healthier alternatives.
DDesphande’s post stirred an online controversy with some defending his stance and others defending consumer freedom. He encouraged people to give up on the processed foods and focus on homemade food such as dal chawal and salads and said that “no one is too busy to cook for 10 minutes”.
Delhi’s Air Quality Plummets to ‘Severe’; GRAP Stage 4 Restrictions Imposed
Delhi’s air quality dipped into the ‘severe’ category on Tuesday, with an AQI of 421, prompting the reimposition of Stage 4 curbs under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). Neighboring cities like Noida (382), Ghaziabad (380), and Gurugram (356) also reported poor air quality levels.
The Centre for Air Quality Management (CAQM) held an emergency meeting as Delhi’s AQI crossed the critical 400-mark late Monday night. Under GRAP Stage 4, construction activities have been banned, along with the entry of non-essential polluting trucks into Delhi. Schools have also been directed to shift classes for younger students to a hybrid mode, excluding grades 10 and 12.
This is a step that has been taken just days after the Supreme Court relaxed earlier restrictions, when air quality had temporarily improved. Authorities have appealed to residents to curtail outdoor activities and take precautionary measures to counteract worsening pollution.
Sonakshi Sinha Cautions Mukesh Khanna Over Comments on Her Upbringing
Actress Sonakshi Sinha hit back at Mukesh Khanna for his comments criticizing her father, Shatrughan Sinha, regarding her inability to answer a Ramayana-related question on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) back in 2019. Khanna recently blamed Shatrughan for Sonakshi’s lack of knowledge about the Hindu epic.
Sonakshi took to her Instagram Stories to criticize Khanna for bringing up the incident repeatedly. She defended herself, stating that she had “blanked out” during the show, which is a human tendency, and urged Khanna to move on. “If Lord Ram can forgive, surely you can let go of this small incident,” Sonakshi wrote.
She also requested Khanna to not use her name or her family’s reputation to remain in the headlines. The actress’s statement has received both support and criticism on social media.

Australia Dominate Despite KL Rahul’s Gritty Knock in Brisbane Test
Despite a gritty knock of 84 runs by KL Rahul, Australia maintained control over the Brisbane Test. Rahul had been India’s standout batter on the tour and batted resolutely against an attacking Australian attack before falling to a stunning catch by Steve Smith at slip.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma was troubled by Pat Cummins’ unrelenting line and length, finally edging one behind. Australia took full advantage of India’s failure to handle the older ball as they tightened their noose when the visitors were at 167/6 when lunch was taken on Day 4.
India’s hope to save the Test is left with the tailenders who would eat into the remaining deficit and consume precious time.
Inter Milan Crush Lazio 6-0 to Stay in Title Race
Inter Milan produced a comprehensive display, thrashing Lazio 6-0 in a key Serie A clash at the Stadio Olimpico. Lazio, who were still undefeated at home this season, matched Inter for most of the first half before four goals within 12 minutes broke the game open.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu opened the score from a penalty before Federico Dimarco doubled the lead just before half time. Goals from Nicolò Barella, Denzel Dumfries, Carlos Augusto, and Marcus Thuram completed the rout that ensured an emphatic win for Inter.
The result has kept Inter in third place, three points behind Atalanta, which continues their title hopes. Lazio’s defensive crisis, which had a mix of injuries, came out very costly against an in-form Inter side.
Sunil Gavaskar Slams KL Rahul’s Discipline When India’s Batting Fold
Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar has praised KL Rahul for his disciplined approach during the ongoing Test series in Australia with India. While India continues to struggle with its batting, Rahul has been seen as a rare highlight, known for his calm and composed batting.
Gavaskar noted that Rahul’s head position and ability to remain still at the crease set him apart. In contrast to other Indian batters who have shown lapses in concentration, Rahul’s focus on selecting the right deliveries has allowed him to excel under challenging conditions.
Gavaskar’s remarks come as India grapples with repeated batting collapses, emphasizing the need for technical discipline to counter Australia’s relentless attack.
