SSC CGL 2024 Final Results Announced – 18,174 Candidates Recommended for Appointment
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has finally published the final results of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2024. Those who had participated in the selection process can now view their results, as well as the cut-off marks for each category and post, on the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in.
According to the statement made by the commission, 18,174 candidates have been provisionally recommended for appointment on merit and post preferences. The selected candidates will now be put through a document verification process by the concerned user departments before final appointment.
This revelation comes as a huge leap for thousands of candidates waiting anxiously to know the outcome, hoping many to bag prestigious government positions under different ministries and departments.
Sheikh Hasina’s Close Aide Asserts She Will Return as Bangladesh PM
Sheikh Hasina’s close friend Rabbi Alam, vice president of United States Awami League, has openly claimed that Sheikh Hasina will become the Prime Minister of Bangladesh again. While talking to news agency ANI, Rabbi Alam urged the global community to acknowledge the chaos sweeping through Bangladesh, stating the nation is “under attack.”
He also lashed out at Muhammad Yunus, the prime advisor to Bangladesh’s interim government, calling him to “go back where he came from.” Alam also expressed his thanks to India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for facilitating Sheikh Hasina’s safe passage and giving shelter to a number of Bangladeshi leaders.

The Diplomat Movie Review – A Political Thriller with Tension But No Action
John Abraham’s latest release, The Diplomat, has garnered mixed reactions from critics and audiences alike. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film is based on the real-life story of Uzma Ahmad, an Indian national who was allegedly tricked into marriage in Pakistan and later sought diplomatic help to return home.
In contrast to his typical high-octane action films, he here portrays a subdued Indian diplomat JP Singh. Although his portrayal brings a new dimension, a few viewers think that he lacks emotional depth, and the portrayal becomes somewhat one-dimensional.
The movie creates suspense well, providing edge-of-the-seat scenes, a thrilling background score, and a well-timed story. The absence of high-action scenes might disappoint some fans, though. The climax, which features Uzma’s dramatic return from the India-Pakistan border, provides a strong ending, making it a good thriller despite its shortcomings.
Former Indian All-Rounder Syed Abid Ali Dies at 83
The Indian cricket community is in mourning following the death of Syed Abid Ali, a great all-rounder, at the age of 83. A master fielder and medium-pace bowler, Abid represented India in 29 Test matches between 1967 and 1974, claiming 47 wickets and scoring 1,018 runs.

Indian-Origin Student Goes Missing in the Dominican Republic
Dominican authorities and the FBI are stepping up efforts to find Sudiksha Konanki, an Indian-origin 20-year-old student from the University of Pittsburgh, who vanished on March 6 amidst a power outage at a hotel in Punta Cana.
Konanki was last spotted close to the Riu República Hotel, a well-known beach resort. Witnesses say she dropped her phone and wallet and walked towards the beach during the power outage. The Dominican authorities have initiated a massive search operation, employing drones and sniffing dogs to scan the island’s coastline.

10. Chinese HR Manager Fakes 22 Employees, Steals ₹18 Crore in 8 Years
In a strange corporate fraud case, a Chinese HR manager Yang managed to execute an elaborate salary scam for eight years, stealing ₹18 crore by faking 22 employees in his company’s payroll system.
Yang manipulated the payroll process to direct salaries into bank accounts under his control. His fraud remained undetected until the finance department noticed a mysterious employee with perfect attendance but no actual presence at work.
After an in-depth investigation, authorities uncovered the scam, leading to Yang’s arrest and a 10-year prison sentence. His family was also forced to return ₹2.5 crore of the stolen funds.
