  1. Yograj Singh: Shocking Exposure to Threaten Kapil Dev

Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh had a shocking confession to make by revealing a very dramatic incident that had happened during his past life involving Kapil Dev, the then 1983 World Cup-winning captain. Yograj, father of the all-round legend Yuvraj Singh, narrated how he went to Kapil Dev’s residence, armed with a pistol.

It began after Yograj’s dismissal from the Indian team was followed by no less an experience than getting knocked down. Beaten along with his wife at Kapil’s door outside his home, he explained to Unfiltered by Samdish about how “I told him, ‘I want to put a bullet through your head, but I won’t because of your pious mother.'”.

Yograj further revealed how this match had been the day he decided to leave cricket and work for his son’s future. His son played 402 matches for India, and was one of the important players in the Indian team during the T20 World Cup win in 2007 and ODI World Cup win in 2011.

Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj started with the holy dip by devotees at Triveni Sangam where Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers merge. Nearly 60 lakh pilgrims took the dip on the first day, which will increase further as the Shahi Snan begins on Makar Sankranti.

Images from drones revealed the sea of devotees thronging the ghats, and it was considered one of the biggest human congregations in the world. Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police, Prashant Kumar, talked about the high-tech usage of drones and CCTV to ensure safety and smooth operations. “This Mahakumbh is a combination of tradition and modernity,” he said.

Adding to the woes, the rupee hit a historic low of 86.3537 against the US dollar due to a strengthening dollar backed by positive job data in the United States. Analysts warn of continued volatility in the coming weeks.

The tragic death of Chandramouli shocked the music community as his former bandmates and fans grieved over the sad demise. Rupam Islam, the noted vocalist, remembers Chandramouli as an important part of Fossils’ success story. The cause of his death is still being investigated.

Karun Nair’s phenomenal form in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 has rekindled hopes of an international comeback. The Vidarbha batter has scored 664 runs in six matches, including five centuries, making him the tournament’s leading run-scorer.

Nair, who hasn’t been considered since his last game in 2017, might make it back in consideration ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy and the tour to England. In case of his inclusion in the squad, he might further support the under-fire Indian middle order.
