Krystyna Pyszkova was bestowed her crown by Miss World 2022, Karolina Bielawska of Poland, in a splendid ceremony attended by prominent personalities from the entertainment industry, such as Nita Mukesh Ambani, Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation.
Krystyna Pyszková spoke fervently about her win, expressing deep gratitude and describing her path to victory as a journey filled with dedication and perseverance.
“I’m beyond thrilled to be standing here today, trying to put into words the depth of my emotions. Pursuing this dream has been a journey of relentless dedication,” she expressed when speaking to the media.
In a contest featuring contestants from more than 110 countries, Krystyna claimed victory, while Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon earned the title of first runner-up.

The prestigious Jio World Convention Centre in BKC was the venue for the pageant, boasting a distinguished panel of judges. Notable personalities included film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, news personality Rajat Sharma, social worker Amruta Fadnavis, Vineet Jain, MD of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Limited, Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization, Jamil Saidi, Strategic Partner & Host – Miss World India, and three former Miss Worlds, among them India’s own Manushi Chhillar.
The event was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young, with electrifying performances by Shaan, Tony Kakkar, and Neha Kakkar adding to the spectacle.
India hosted the event for the first time in 28 years, with 22-year-old Sini Shetty representing the country.
Sini Shetty, a Mumbai native crowned Femina Miss India World in 2022, competed against Zaytoun, who secured a place in the top 4.
India boasts an impressive history in the pageant, having produced six winners, including Reita Faria Powell (1966), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017).
The 71st Miss World pageant, featuring contestants from 112 countries, unfolded at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC.
Among the panel of 12 judges for the finale were film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, news personality Rajat Sharma, social worker Amruta Fadnavis, Vineet Jain (MD of Bennett, Coleman & Co. A heartfelt video message by Chopra Jonas, echoing the importance of ‘beauty with purpose’, a central theme of the Miss World pageant, resonated throughout the event.
During an event, the ensemble cast of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh graced the stage alongside 13 fast-track Miss World contestants, showcasing the show’s newly released song “Sakal Ban”.
The Miss World competition, spanning a month, commenced with “The Opening Ceremony” and “India Welcomes the World Gala” organized by the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) in New Delhi on February 20.
The event comprised a range of challenging competitions, from talent showcases to sports challenges and charitable initiatives, all designed to showcase the exceptional qualities that define these competitors as agents of change.
Strategic partnerships and sponsor support were integral to the success of the 71st Miss World festival, with acclaimed designer Archana Kochar lending her creative expertise to the event.
As the largest beauty event worldwide, Miss World attracts millions of viewers globally. The final is televised live in over 100 countries and garners billions of followers on social media platforms, solidifying its position as a cultural phenomenon.
