Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava has achieved a historic opening at the box office with the largest opening in 2025, although the film got mixed reviews. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the movie has taken everyone by surprise, garnering around ₹31 crore (nett) on the opening day for all the languages, according to trade expert Sacnilk.
This is the biggest opening of Vicky Kaushal’s career so far, breaking his earlier record of ₹8.20 crore for Uri: The Surgical Strike. Moreover, Chhaava has also emerged as the biggest opener of 2025, breaking Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force, which collected ₹15.30 crore on opening day last month.
Yet another record broken by Chhaava is the Valentine’s Day record held by Gully Boy (2019), which made ₹19.40 crore on day one. This momentum puts Chhaava on track for a successful stint, reiterating Vicky Kaushal’s box office star power.
Popular YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani made the announcement on Instagram that he would not be hosting the Valentine’s Day show of Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World in Mumbai. His announcement comes in the wake of India’s Got Latent controversy, in which Mumbai Police registered cases against him, Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and other show guests for obscenity.
While Ashish did not refer to his legal issues directly, he quoted health reasons for taking a step back. On his Instagram story, he posted, “Hello doston, I am not keeping well, so unfortunately I won’t be able to attend & host the screening. But don’t worry, those who are selected can still go & enjoy the show. I know I am going to miss y’all so much! Love you 3000.”
Despite his withdrawal, fans expressed their support, hoping to see him back in action soon.
The Reserve Bank of India recently imposed strict limits on Mumbai-based New India Co-operative Bank from issuing new loans, accepting fresh deposits, or making investments. The move has been reported as a result of an alleged money misappropriation by bank officials.
Sources reveal that the Chief Compliance Officer of the bank may have lodged a complaint with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) regarding financial irregularities. RBI’s decision followed an inspection conducted earlier this month, which raised concerns over the bank’s operations.
In an official statement, the RBI noted that the bank cannot engage in any financial transactions without its prior approval. Although the lender’s banking license remains intact, customers have expressed concerns over their deposits.
The much-anticipated comic thriller Dhoom Dhaam, starring Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi, falls short of expectations, delivering a predictable and underwhelming cinematic experience.
The movie takes the universal theme of the on-the-run couple, but it fails to be exciting despite a quick-moving script. Instead of being entertaining, the effort to create plot surprises falls short because most of the surprises can be anticipated with ease.
Eijaz Khan’s performance provides some entertainment value, whereas Prateik Babbar’s cameo is lacking. The 1 hour 48 minutes duration of the movie is a respite, in that it doesn’t allow the story to drag on unnecessarily. Dhoom Dhaam does not make an impression overall and is not fresh enough to be different in the thriller genre.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the CBSE Board Exam Date Sheet 2025 for Class 10th and 12th. Students can now view the exam schedule and timings on CBSE’s official website, cbse.gov.in.
As per the date sheet:
CBSE Class 10 board exams will start from February 15, 2025, and end on March 10, 2025. The exams will be conducted between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. CBSE 12 board examinations will begin with the Entrepreneurship paper on February 15, 2025, and will conclude with the Psychology paper on April 4, 2025. Pupils should cautiously verify their timetable for examination and follow the rules of examination provided by CBSE to make any last-minute blunders zero.

Sachin Bansal, Executive Chairman of the Navi Group and co-founder of Flipkart, and CEO of Navi Technologies and Navi Finserv, has resigned as CEO but will remain Executive Chairman of the Navi Group.
After his resignation, Rajiv Naresh has been named CEO of Navi Technologies, and Abhishek Dwivedi will head Navi Finserv. Both of these executives have been associated with Navi for more than six years.
